SyracuseCoE is New York State’s Center of Excellence for Environmental and Energy Systems. Led by Syracuse University, SyracuseCoE engages faculty, students and collaborators at 200+ firms and institutions to catalyze innovations that improve energy efficiency, environmental quality and resilience in healthy buildings and cleaner, greener communities.

The SyracuseCOE partners with The Clean Tech Center, a NYSERDA-funded incubator for companies commercializing clean energy technologies operated by CenterState CEO, to administer the EPIC Building Accelerator. The EPIC - Energy Program for Innovation Clusters - helps New York State companies accelerate development and commercialization of innovations for energy hardware to create Grid-Interactive and Energy and Efficient Buildings (GEBs). EPIC is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE). The program's goals are to strengthen the cluster of companies engaged with the GEB market, while promoting equity and public health in the built environment and supporting the nation’s transition to net-zero emissions.
