Nonprofit leaders, managers, and employees joined CenterState CEO’s Senior Vice President for Racial Equity and Social Impact Dr. Juhanna Rogers and other leading experts for a day focused on incorporating inclusion, equity and leadership strategies in community organizations. The event made it possible for nonprofits with limited budgets to take part in diversity, equity and inclusion work.
Attendees heard from educator and social activist Nkosi Anderson in the keynote address. Focused presentations covered health disparities and community health, development and equity, and the power of community engagement. Dr. Rogers led a workshop following the presentations for participants to reflect on the experiences and information shared throughout the morning.
Equity Day for Nonprofits was made possible through the funds the raised through the CenterState CEO Foundation at the 2022 Race for Equity. The Race for Equity event returns in August 2023 to raise funds to help organizations access and engage in diversity, equity and inclusion work for their organizations. Details to come soon on how you can support a driver or become an event sponsor to help us reach our goal.
