The Racial Equity and Social Impact (RESI) team exists to build and promote more equitable workplaces in Central New York, and to support meaningful progress on communitywide equity goals. Together we can build a thriving and more robust business community by diversifying companies, creating more inclusive workspaces, and challenging ourselves as leaders to change the status quo.

RESI initiatives are designed to engage companies committed to diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) principles at a deeper level. It is through programmatic offerings, and corporate trainings that your C-suite leadership can develop policy to shift culture, middle managers can think about culturally component leadership and management styles, and employees can think critically about what they know and have learned about race and racism. Companies that support DEI initiatives can thrive and prosper, keep our economy strong, and our future bright.

Racial equity and social impact initiatives, DEI training courses and consultation services from CenterState CEO are available. Contact Dr. Juhanna Rogers at jrogers@centerstateceo.com to learn more.

Check out these opportunities to get involved this year:

RESI Panel Discussions, a virtual seriessponsored by Berkshire Bank, offers DEI tools and educational resources to support individuals from diverse backgrounds in their workplaces and communities. This year’s panels will focus on Men of Color: The Intersection of Culture, Authenticity & the Workplace – Feb. 15; Women’s Community Engagement – Mar. 15; and the LGBTQ Experience – April 19.

Tech and Culture Speaker Series, hosted by Generation Next and sponsored by JPMorgan Chase Co. returns for a third season. The series promotes diversity, inclusion and belonging in tech-related fields through diverse speakers who are leading in the tech industry. Speakers share their personal stories to inspire, motivate and transform the mindset of the diverse audiences.

Race for Equity, this popular fundraising race returns in August. It is an exciting opportunity to support the professional development and education needs around DEI for nonprofit leaders and employees across Central New York. Sponsorships welcome.

Generation Next, a CenterState CEO initiative, is designed to attract talent to available positions in Central New York, foster opportunities for career advancements and connect talented, diverse professionals through social engagements and networking opportunities. Equity-minded businesses are encouraged to contact CenterState CEO’s SVP of RESI, Dr. Juhanna Rogers at jrogers@centerstateceo.com to chat about partnership opportunities for a happy hour, professional development activities, and social outings.
