United for Moms - 2024

Syracuse, NY – United Way of Central New York in partnership with COR Development Company, Community Bank, and OneGroup are working together to host United For Moms -- a Mother’s Day drive collecting personal care items for local women in need.

The public is encouraged to drop off personal and self-care care items such as: deodorant, body wash, socks, lip balm, hair accessories, nail care items, tissues, combs/brushes, hand and body lotion at one of the 25 local donation drop off points throughout Central New York. A full list of locations, suggested items, and additional ways to participate can be found at www.unitedformoms.org

All contributions will be sorted, packed, and distributed to local mothers by COR Development and Community Bank employees and United Way volunteers on Friday May 10th just in time for Mother’s Day.

“COR is grateful for the continued support from our community in making a tangible difference in the lives of local mothers. Partnering with United Way of Central New York, Community Bank and OneGroup again has amplified our reach, reflecting on the spirit of unity and generosity that defines our shared commitment to supporting those in need. Together, we are proud to continue this tradition of giving, ensuring that every mother in our community feels valued and supported on Mother's Day and beyond.” said Merissa Lynch, Marketing Manager for COR Development.

“The little things make a big difference to a person in need. Thank you to COR Development, OneGroup and Community Bank for their continued support of United Way and our drives, as well as the many participating tenants, and donors.” said Nancy Eaton, president of United Way of Central New York, “In addition, thank you to AT&T Premier Technologies for joining the effort this year with seven local AT&T stores.”

Community Bank believes in the power of giving back to the communities in which we live and work, and supporting organizations like United Way is an absolute privilege. We can collectively make a meaningful impact in the lives of women in our community. Thank you to COR Development for including us in the wonderful cause.” said Lindsay Weichert, Community Bank Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking Group Manager and United Way Board Member.
